The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries, Nuno Maciel, will officially open the Madeira Rum Festival tomorrow, 14 April, at 4.00 pm, at the Central Square on Avenida Arriaga.
The Madeira Rum Festival takes place between 14 and 18 April, an initiative promoted by the Madeira Institute of Wine, Embroidery and Handicrafts (IVBAM), with the aim of enhancing the value and profile of Madeira Rum as a product that defines the region’s identity and is of strategic importance to it.
Over the course of five days, the festival brings together producers, international experts and industry professionals, establishing itself as a key event for promoting Madeiran agricultural rum, both as cultural heritage and as a product with growing prominence in overseas markets.
