In 2023, the amount of sugarcane processed for the production of Madeira Rum alone was 7,252 tons, which makes a 100% volume of Madeira Rum produced at 3,141 hectoliters. The largest bottling volume is in the “natural” Rum category, with around 4,883 hectoliters (around 86.7% of all bottled Madeira Rum).
